FROM SURVIVING ILLNESS TO CREATING WELLNESS & THOSE “THINGS” IN BETWEEN
Welcome to the World of the Living Experience

The three Tellers of True Stories: The Lived & Living Experience

Chris Freer – Essex boy (Born and Bred) Diagnosis… Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. A journey that includes from wheelchair to walking. He is now qualified in NLP (Neuro- Linguistic Programming) and Hypnotherapy. He promises not to hypnotise anyone… honestly 😊

Graham Stephens – Lancashire Lad Diagnosis… Brain Injury (2020) post Road Traffic Accident. Oh! And a 21 and a ½ Day Water Only Fast. Yes really. An International expert in both Lifestyle Medicine & Health, with much of his life spent around the two performance extremes. The world of “The Elite Athletes” as well as working highly successfully, and much acclaimed, with youth gang members in Manchester (UK). They were typically aged 14 to 16 years old.

Neil Bindemann – Yep… A real-life Neuroscientist. Well OK an “Neuro-Immunologist”. - Diagnosis… Rather ironically, given his academic background, Neil was diagnosed with a substantial tumour that was sitting on his pineal gland deep within the middle of his brain. One that required major high-risk surgery! As well as being the founder of the Person Centred Neuroscience Society, Neil has a lifelong passion for music and has played the trumpet since young.

The event conversations will be grounded in medicine, healing and science. However, for some, parts may be considered “Outside the Box”.

Expect deeply honest, and at times brutally honest, conversation led presentations about diagnosis, prognosis, resilience, recovery, humour, future possibilities, and what can happen when the lived experience meets the challenging beliefs that often linger. The afternoon will be both very real and very true, while at the sametime we warmly invite you to experience both the world of changing and emerging sciences, particularly involving the changing times of medicine, and what it is to be HUMAN.

Here are just three comments received from feedback following previously run events with all three.

“The first time in a long time my sister had some hope”

"I fully endorse his [Graham Stephens] competences within this NHS health trust” A.H. Wigan Primary Care

"Absolutely Loved it Today” - Milla, “A” Level Psychology Student

WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR?

For people who share a fascination with improving health, wellbeing and the human potential.

For anyone enquiring about what we now know about being human, and HOW our internal “operating systems” shape the way we live, adapt, recover, and even, allow change.

For those interested in how healthier behaviours can become lasting health behaviour changes.

For those who have carried illness for many years, with no health gains despite interventions.
